What is Startup Star?

Startup Star is an initiative of StartupVapi Community that aims to unleash the untapped potential of students by giving them a platform to showcase their ideas, getting a hands-on experience of designing a roadmap to convert their ideas into a business model as an early-stage startup with seed- stage funding, mentoring and resources, all while pursuing their studies.

What is Startup Vapi?

Startup Vapi is a community of inspired individuals who share an ideology of LEARN, SHARE AND GROW. The community was formed in 2016 with the vision to build a self-sustaining, non-prejudiced, gender-neutral, and hierarchy free community where members support each other. Our mission is to bring students, entrepreneurs, startups people in business & professionals on a common platform to collaborate. Startup Vapi has successfully organized 125+ events and hosted 10000+ people through offline and online activities in last 5 years.

The First Ever Biggest & Largest Startup Idea Competition of Valsad District

SEASON 2

Competition Details

Open only for the students of Valsad District including Daman and Silvassa
Applications will be taken from schools and colleges only through startup cell. (No age bar)
IIndividual or a Team can register (team cannot exceed 3 members.)
In case of team entry, each participant has to pay registration charges per head.
Startup cell needs to be created per department / School.
Registrations will be closed once 500 entries are registered on system or the entry closing date whichever is earlier.

Event Flow

SCREENING

Upon registration details from respective institution, The Participant (Founder) will receive login details through SMS on their registered mobile number. For screening round participant has to upload the video of elevator pitch (max. 60 seconds) as per the format of the round.

IDEATION / ROUND 1

From the screening round, 100 promising ideas will be selected for Ideation or Round 1. Ideation / Round 1 will be held live on Zoom. Participants will have to develop more clarity about their ideas and give a presentation of 3 mins in this round as per the format of the round.

STRATEGY / ROUND 2

From the ideation round, 30 best ideas will be selected for strategy or round 2. Strategy / Round 2 will be held live on Zoom. Participants will have to do further market research and give a presentation of 5 minutes in this round as per the format of the round.

FINALE

From strategy round 10 finalists will be selected for the finale. Participants will have to prepare a business plan with complete details and give a presentation of 10 minutes in this round is per the requirements. In the finale 3 best ideas will be selected as winners and awarded the funding money
